BIOGRAPHY
Merhav’s affair with boxing started when he was 12 years old. Before having to join the Israeli Army, he fought all over Europe- gaining titles and recognition along his way. After four years in the army, he came to the U.S. and fought under Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions and was soon gaining speed in the U.S. boxing circuit from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. “The Sergeant” as he’s affectionately known in the boxing circle, Merhav’s life changed in a fight that took place in Georgia. “Reborn” after a life changing injury from that fight, he decided to settle here to rehabilitate, rebuild, and train others in boxing. As the Head Coach of Knuckleup’s Boxing Program, Merhav is a certified karate and fitness trainer, as well as a certified military instructor in Krav Maga.
